Warranty Technician

Job Title: Warranty Technician
Reports to: Director, Construction
Location/Dept: Dallas, TX

 

Job Summary:

This position requires working closely with customers, builders, and sub-contractors in a fast-paced environment. The Warranty Technician must be a team player that is able to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction while staying on time and on budget. The ideal candidate is a team player who can multi-task, use excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills. Must be able
to deal with and remain calm in challenging situations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Perform minor repairs.
  •  Coordinate and schedule all other repairs with subcontractors and customers.
  • Follow up, inspect and insure completion of all repairs.
  • Hold subcontractors accountable for work product.
  •  Instruct customers on how to maintain their homes, as well as communicating what items are not warrantable.
  •  Manage warranty budget.
  •  Handle multiple tasks, as well as projects within designated timeframes.
  •  The ability to say “no” and overcome objections in a professional manner.

  •  Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  •  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

At least two years related experience in home building industry.

 

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
